A working journalist since 2003, for CityLife magazine and then the Manchester Evening News (as senior features writer), I have specialised in cultural and archival subjects both as a print journalist and, since 2017, as a researcher/producer for independent filmmakers and major broadcasters..
Writing | PR & Comms
In 2023, I co-authored/edited the book Everything That Happened, for Manchester International Festival/Factory International, and accepted my first major PR and Communications Manager role at the Royal Northern College of Music. I am currently studying towards a Master's degree in screenwriting.
Hosting & Presenting
On stage or on screen, I am a regular host of talks with some of the biggest names in the business, at venues and festivals up and down the country - from the Cambridge Literary Festival to Kranenhaus in Cumbria, and back home in Manchester. I am also comfortable presenting to camera and as a guest on shows and podcasts.
